Milmar through history Noticeable achievements

  • First private sector shipping agency in Egypt.
  • Introduced the famous Lykes Lines “Seabee” vessels into the Mediterranean for the first time.
  • In 1984, Milmar carried out the testing of Egypt’s first container terminal at the Port of Alexandria, providing the containers and vessels for maneuvering and training.
  • Successfully completing the transportation of the Shoubra El-Kheima Power Plant, Egypt’s then biggest power plant, from Alexandria Port to Shoubra El-Kheima by using barges and river transport.
  • Successfully completed multiple national projects like Aswan High Dam, Canal Sewage System, USAID projects.
  • At its height, Milmar Shipping was handling 70% of container traffic to/from Egypt.
